We all love our jeans, but this fall there are also a lot of great, lightweight, ‘pull-on’ pants on the market that are a great option for when you don’t want denim or ‘stiff’ pants. Think of your favorite summer pull-on linen pants, but for fall. Offered in a variety of materials/textures, some can be dressed up for fancier ‘going out’ outfits, while others are more casual. Not a zipper or button fly in sight. Here are some of our favorites:
Donni The Pop Drawstring Cargo Pants: These crisp cotton, slightly cropped pants are perfect for everyday wear. Pair them with a tee/sandals, or with a great cashmere sweater and loafers as temperatures drop. They also come in stripes.
Donni Silk Simple Pant and Silk Stripe Crop Pant: Donni also has silk options in a solid, regular length (7 colors) and a cropped, striped pant (7 colors).
Leset Kyoto Carpenter Pants: These come in 9 color options and have a cult following.
Citizens of Humanity Aurora Pants: Great side pockets, one big back pocket, and a drawstring. So comfy for casual fall! 4 color options.
Banana Republic Mid-Rise Relaxed Pull-On Painter Pants: These are a stretch twill and we love them – they come in both winter white and olive green, as well as a few other color options and a great basic black. A great everyday pant!
La Ligne Colby Pant: This is another pant with a dedicated following and people who love them, really LOVE them. They come in 9 color options and can be dressed up or down.
Ruti On-the-Loose Work Pant: Chrissie loves these lightweight, slightly barrel-shaped pants and grabs for them multiple times a week (they are also perfect ‘airplane/travel’ pants).
J.Crew Cosmo Pant in luster charmeuse: If you want a dressier option, these have a bit of shimmer to them. The red ones would be great for holiday parties.
Gap Easy Wide Leg Pants: Gap offers four color options for these wide-leg, pull-on pants, which come in regular, tall, and petite versions.
Athleta Endless Pants and Brooklyn Mid-Rise Pants: The Endless Pants are a just a tiny bit thicker material than the others on this list, but are so comfy and tailored looking (and great for work, travel, or everyday) that we had to include them. The Brooklyn is one of our FabList favorites for casual yet comfy and pulled-together looking pants.
