Beauty/Skincare Items We Purchase on Repeat

We have a lot of products in our bathroom drawers and cabinets… many of which seem to have lingered for a long time without getting used very often. And when they are finally emptied, we aren’t necessarily racing to replenish them.  But there are certain items we use daily that we reorder the moment we’re running low.

Here are 5 beauty/skincare items that we each purchase on repeat.

InnBeauty Extreme Cream:  My face gets super dry, and this face cream (often compared to the $$$ Augustine Bader The Rich Cream) works really well, and feels great.

Yina Face Serum:  Yina bases its products on traditional Chinese medicine, and I have used and loved its products for years.  I apply their face oil/serum morning and evening for added moisture and for the benefits of their ingredients. You just need a drop or two, and you can also combine it with your face lotion. Their face moisturizer is also amazing.

SuperGoop Tinted Moisturizer with SPF:  Like Jo, I love a product that combines a light tint with moisturizer and sunscreen. It covers dark spots, evens out skin tone, and provides sun protection. 14 skin tone options available.

Jones Road Miracle Balm: We love Jones Road products for “mature” skin for the “no makeup makeup” look. The miracle balm can be layered on for a subtle color/brightening effect or for more added color. It makes me feel like I look healthier and awake! I put it on cheeks, eyelids, and even lips. Lots of color options.

Body Oil: I use body oil after every shower, and my favorites are Osea, Everyday Body Oil, and one that you can only buy at the Avocado Mattress store called Reed + Gwen!

Bonus Items:

Cocofloss:  Can a dental floss be superior than others? Yes, it can! This stuff is great – really gets the stuff out and is just somehow better!

Exfoliating Wash Cloths:  These are awesome because they are slightly rough, but not too rough so that you feel like they are getting rid of dead skin, but they don’t hurt at all. I use it like a washcloth. Plus it’s long enough that you can easily scrub your back.

Joanne

I learned about the first two products on my list below from Chrissie’s interview with Annie Jackson, the founder of Credo Beauty (read the interview here).

True Botanicals Renew Nourishing Cleanser: A face cleanser that smells so fresh and leaves my skin soft, clean, and refreshed.

Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator: A hydrating mist you simply spray on your face after washing. It combines a toner and light moisturizer into one time-saving product. I use it because it is so easy to apply and delivers intense hydration in one spray.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré Multi-Function Moisturizer: My go-to face moisturizer. I like it because it’s thin and not gunky or goopy. I use it as a base and put sunscreen or foundation (when I wear it, which is seldom) on top.

Elta MD Tinted Moisturizer: I love this tinted moisturizer with SPF. It has just the right amount of tint, so I don’t need foundation, and it smooths out my skin tone.

Ahava Mineral Body Lotion: My go-to body moisturizer. I subscribe not only to save money, but also to make sure I never run out!! It’s lightweight and smells really good.
