Corduroy season is back! This is one of our favorite fabrics and we’re happy to see it being used on all sorts of items – like skirts, dresses, and blazers. Here is a guide to some key pieces using fall’s favorite fabric:

Corduroy Pants: Our fav’s this season are Nili Lotan’s Shon, Alex Mill’s Camden, and Quince’s Stretch Corduroy Flare Pants. Don’t be afraid to wear a light color, like cream or beige.

Blazers: Cord blazers are no longer worn by stodgy college professors (think Donald Sutherland on Animal House)! This season, our picks include Boden’s Stamford, Veronica Beard’s Sevyn Dickey (compatible standard dickeys from VB), and rag and bone’s Slade.

Shirts: Think of a corduroy shirt as you would a denim shirt, a similar classic, versatile style with some texture, that can be worn on its own or over a t-shirt. Check out J.Crew’s Jules, Frank & Eileen’s Eileen (how chic in white corduroy!), and Boden’s Victoria with its mandarin collar, lace trim, and fun colors! Boden also has this Cord Overshirt, which looks so cozy!

Dresses: A perfect fall piece – soft and easy with a cozy texture that works from day to night. We love Boden’s Ross Panelled Shirt Dress and the longer Adelaide, available in this pretty vine print. Tuckernuck also has this chic Clifton Shift Dress.
