Fab Finds: Fashion Brands to Know – Part 2

We’re back with Part 2 of Fashion Brands to Know! Here is the link to Part 1, in case you missed it, and Part 3 is coming soon.

K-Way
Founded in Paris in 1965, this brand of rain gear is one of Jo’s favorites and comes in very handy in Seattle, her rainy hometown. On her last trip to Europe, Jo visited multiple KWay stores, and they were the most crowded of all retail stores – it is definitely having a moment! The array of raincoats, with their colorful zippers, blends weather protection with a fashion-forward edge, featuring bold colors, lightweight materials, taped seams, adjustable hoods, elastic cuffs, zip pockets, clever packability, and a combination of waterproof, water-repellant, windproof, and breathable properties. The LE VRAI 4.0 EIFFEL EAST is a top seller and conveniently folds into one of its pockets. LE VRAI 4.0 CLAUDE is another classic short windbreaker, and it’s available in 24 fun colors. Jo has her eye on this nylon skirt (now on sale!).

La Double J
We’ve featured La Double J often in FabList, but wanted to mention it again because Jo has a few dresses and doesn’t worry about what to wear when she knows she can throw on a La Double J dress! Created by American J.J. Martin after moving to Milan, J.J. partnered with historic Italian mills to redesign archival prints. The patterns are maximalist, very colorful, and joyful. Dresses start at around $700 but are often on sale and available on The Real Real. The Choux is their classic short dress, available in many patterned options. The Artemis is a long version of the Choux. And if you like party pants, this is the place to come! Pair with a white blouse or sweater and you’ll bring life to any gathering.

La Ligne
If you like elevated everyday basics, and are a fan of stripes, this brand is for you! Their Marina cotton sweater (available in 13 striped colorways) and their Marin cashmere sweaters (7 colors) are fan-favorites, as well as their super-popular pull-on Colby pants (available in 13 colors) and their long-sleeved Breton tee (9 colors options),  but they also have great dresses and so much more.

Nili Lotan
Nili Lotan is an Israeli-American designer celebrated for her timeless, understated wardrobe staples. We love the Shon pants and the simplicity/utilitarianism of her clothing. The lines are clean and the fabrics are high-quality. Jo just visited her store in Tribeca and bought the white denim Shon pants and has worn them most days this summer! She’ll definitely buy another pair for fall, maybe in this great green color.

Raquel Allegra
A Berkeley-born and LA-based designer known for her handcrafted, deconstructed essentials infused with a relaxed, West-Coast bohemian vibe. These clothes are classic with a twist. We are loving this kaftan dress and this painted sweatshirt. Raquel Allegra is also known for her hand-dyed pieces that give tie-dye a grown-up look, as seen in this amazing dress.

Still Here
S
till Here is a New York–based husband/wife founded denim brand founded by husband‑and‑wife team whose aesthetic draws from vintage inspiration, emphasizing high-quality craftsmanship. Their low-rise Cool jean and straight leg Everyday jean are very popular, and their The Shirt tees are super high quality and fit/wash great.
