Fab Finds: Fashion Brands to Know – Part 3

We hope you loved our  Part 1 and Part 2 of Fashion Brands to Know Now – we sure had fun putting it all together for you. Here’s our final installment – 5 more brands to have on your radar as they make beautiful, stylish clothes for today’s woman.

The Frankie Shop
Jo was just in The Frankie Shop in Soho and wanted to buy every item. Founded in 2014 by Gaelle Drevet, a Paris-born former journalist, the first boutique was on New York’s Lower East Side. They now have four stores in New York City and Paris, as well as a strong online presence. You won’t find a lot of color or pattern here. The Frankie Shop is known for its minimalist, oversized silhouettes, and simplicity. Look for classic trenches, blazers, and trousers.

The Great
Classic, American clothing that is vintage-inspired, blending nostalgia with comfort. Started by the Current/Elliott founders and friends (Emily Current and Meritt Elliott), this line is known for perfect weekend-ready, vintage-inspired graphic sweatshirts, chambray shirts, and floral dresses. Jo bought the classic sweatshirt more than 5 years ago and still wears it on repeat. Other favorites include the rugby sweatshirt and the Super Bloom Eyelet Top.

Trovata
Having started in a California dorm room, Trovata has now grown into a California-based ‘casual elegance’ brand that makes a full range of women’s clothing. We especially love their shirts and dresses. Their blouses make any outfit just that little bit more special given the subtle detailing, the casual yet elegant fit, the quality materials (the cotton of the shirts is so thin and soft!), and the wonderful patterns. Their Mena,  Eliza, and Orly shirts and their James and Astrid dresses are just a few of the items we love.

TWP
Trish Wescoat Pound (TWP) launched her brand of high-end cotton clothing with the
Next Ex button-down shirt, a cropped but not too cropped button-down, and quickly gained a cult following in the ‘in the know’ fashion world. The cotton is truly superior to ‘regular’ button-down shirts – they feel amazing against your skin, and you can easily recognize the tailoring as well as the quality material (although they do have a high price point). The Boyfriend shirt is a relaxed-fit shirt featuring a chest patch pocket, concealed placket, curved hem, and staple single-roll button cuffs, and their Next Morning shirt is a relaxed fit with a center box pleat at the back, exposed button-up placket, chest patch pocket, spread collar and single-roll button cuffs. They also have great pants and dress options.

Varley
Husband and wife founders of the Varley set out to create an ‘upscale athleisure’ brand that could be worn for exercise as well as in daily life, featuring quality fabrics and tailoring. We love their full-zip sweatshirt with front pockets, their half-zip sweatshirt, and rolled-cuff pants.
