We believe sneakers are always in season, and this fall, some new trends are hitting the streets: ballerina-meets-sneaker mash-ups, retro runners, suede in cozy autumn tones, and pops of stop-you-in-your-tracks colors. Whether you lean towards minimalist or statement-making style, there’s a pair this fall that will have you stepping out in confidence. Here is our FabList of sneakers for fall.
Slimmer/Lower Profile/Throwback:
Slim sneakers are trending. Chunky sneakers have been replaced with track-and-field runners inspired by styles from the 1970s. Try styles from Larroude, Alo, or Autry.
Colorful:
The brighter the better! Add a pop of color to your wardrobe with sneakers by Chattanooga Shoe, Nike, or Gola.
Sumptuous Suede:
Choose between colorful or monochromatic – anything goes, as long as it’s made of suede! These Pumas in beige are super versatile, and Adidas is still coming out with great styles.
Sneakerina:
Meet the “sneakerina”—a new sneaker-slash-ballet flat that is quickly becoming a trend. We don’t think we’ll buy into this trend, but we thought you should know about it.
Double Laces:
Two laces per shoe (also known as lace maxxing) is gaining momentum! Some shoes come with two sets of laces, or you can buy a lace kit and create your own for any lace-up shoe.
