Frank & Eileen Round-Up

Frank & Eileen (F&E) is a FabList favorite! FabLister Katie F.’s daily uniform is the Wicklow Pant, and she has them in all seven colors! We’ve featured F&E before because the brand makes high-quality clothing out of soft, luxurious fabrics in flattering, versatile cuts. The clothes wear and wash well. They are for the woman who is ok spending a bit more on well-made, casual basics, knowing that she’ll have them for a long time and they won’t go out of style. These are the clothes you wear every day, on repeat.

Jo took a morning field trip to a nearby store and tried on every F&E item possible. She left the store wanting to buy so many items – the Audrey Capelet, Mary Dress, Belfast Peacoat, and Perry Tee, to name a few. The price point has always scared her away, but after trying everything on, seeing the construction, and feeling the fabrics, she can say that F&E is worth the spend. Chrissie has and wears the Patrick top, the Wicklow pants, and the Eileen shirt regularly. If you haven’t tried F&E yet, you’re in for a treat – their effortlessly chic pieces are the kind you’ll want to live in.

Here are some of our favorites:

Tops:

Patrick Popover Henley Shirt: This is a heavier-gauge cotton shirt with a collar that hangs loosely, has dropped shoulders, a nice V, and is not meant to be tucked in. It comes in over ten colors (solids and stripes) as well as a ‘triple fleece’ version (sort of like a terry), which is available in 7 colors. Chrissie has it in white and finds it’s super easy to throw on with jeans, sweats, or pretty much any pant option, and it washes well, without stretching out or losing its shape over time. A reliable ‘grab and go’ shirt.

Perry NYC Crew Tee: This is the tee we’ve all been looking for! Not too tight, with longer arms and a slightly thicker material, so it’s not see-through. It features a raw hem and a loose fit, making it an upscale casual option, and it looks great untucked. It’s available in black, white, and navy.

Audrey Funnel Neck Capelet: Wow! Jo just tried this on and wants it in every color. It’s like an oversized sweatshirt, but much more chic. The funnel neck, raw hem, and edges, along with elbow-length continuous sleeves and side slits, make it a perfect top. Wear over a long-sleeved tee in the winter for year-round use.

The Eileen: The Eileen is a relaxed button-up shirt (not too tight, but not boxy or oversized) that comes in a ton of materials (cotton, denim, linen, flannel, etc.) and color/pattern options (solids, stripes, plaids, florals, etc.). It’s a great everyday shirt and the item that put Frank & Eileen on the map.

Jackets:

Dublin Sweatshirt Blazer: Made from triple fleece (also available in denim and linen), this blazer is cut to look dressed up yet remains incredibly comfortable. Perfect for travel with patch pockets!

Belfast Sweatshirt Peacoat: If you want more of a peacoat instead of a blazer, but in that same soft fabric, then this one is for you. Available in four colors (also available in linen), it’s double-breasted with horn buttons and roomy patch pockets. This style is also available in a Mini version, which has all the best parts of the longer version but with a cute cropped fit. The Mini is available in 11 colors.

Wexford Wide-Leg Linen Pant: Jo has these and loves them! They’re designed for a relaxed fit, with a wide-leg and slightly cropped length, and can be paired with a sweatshirt, sweater, and/or blazer to dress them up. Available in 11 colors.

Wicklow Chino Pant: Best-selling pant, and FabLister Katie F. has nearly all of them, we think! A relaxed fit, mid-rise waistband, distressed hem, and plenty of four-way stretch make this comfy, Italy-meets-California chino the perfect, casually polished pant for everyday wear. FabLister Jill M. loves hers as well, as does Chrissie.

Dresses:

Mary Shirtdress: FabList loves a shirtdress! Jo just tried this on and was amazed at how comfortable and flattering it was! Available with a standard or ruffle collar and in denim or linen. The denim is incredibly soft, feeling like a well-worn Oxford cloth shirt, and is available in 12 colors.

Rory Maxi Shirtdress: If you’re looking for a longer length shirtdress, the Rory is for you! Available in linen (florals, stripes, and solids) or denim, the Rory is lean, breezy, and chic. It features a chest pocket, easy-to-roll sleeves, and a shirttail hem.

Lauren Polo Dress: Jo tried this on and wanted to wear it out of the store. It was so comfortable, hung just right, and had a cool distressed hem. It is made from F&E’s Heritage Jersey, which feels like a cross between a sweatshirt and fleece materials.

Sets:

Florence Getaway Set: If you’re ok with sleeveless options, this set is a winner with its relaxed pants and sleeveless, longer vest top. Looks totally chill, yet put together.

Tuscany Getaway Set: If you prefer long sleeves, the same set of pants as above (the Maisie) also comes in a washed linen set with a long-sleeved top. Comes in 9 colors.

These are just a sample of their terrific selection. Check out their entire collection here.
