Here are a variety of Amazon purchases that I love for very different reasons…as you’ll see! I highly recommend all of them.
Foot Massager:
I read a blog (have forgotten who…!) about this and decided to give it a try. It makes my feet HAPPY and it lives underneath my desk so I can use it when working! You stick your feet in it ,choose from two modes of pressure and heat then have 15 minutes (auto shut off) of rolling/squeezing/warming bliss. My kids have discovered it and it seems to disappear from my office to other parts of the house when they are home for a visit!
Nature Made Hair Skin and Nails with Biotin Vitamins and Mielle Rosemary Mint Scalp 7 Hair Strengthening Oil: I was looking for a supplement to help strengthen my hair and encourage regrowth. I asked my dermatologist about the ‘fancy’ (ie $$) one I was taking and she said to take this much more affordable one instead. And my hairdresser, as well as many bloggers online, recommend using rosemary oil (this one has biotin and is the most recommended) to strengthen hair and encourage growth as well. A couple time a month use the dropper to put it onto your scalp and rub it in (use a scalp massager like this to do so) while watching a show for an hour or so – then shampoo out.
Full Length Moveable Mirror:
I recently repainted one of our ‘launched’ kids bedroom and moved my yoga mat/weights into it and wanted a mirror for my new ‘workout studio’ (it’s still a bedroom, but you get the idea). This full length mirror has been awesome for making it a great place to work out! The wheels let you easily move it wherever it’s needed, and it’s a great full length mirror or getting dressed. I highly recommend it, whether you’re looking for a mirror for getting dressed, for working out, or for both! It comes in brown or white and it’s easy to put together.
Fly Zapper
This thing works! Last summer we had a fly issue for the first time ever (small ones that always circle in the same two places in the house…it’s very odd), and this year apparently they are back…in the same exact two very specific spots of our house. This zapper works and my husband and I can put our childhood tennis skills to good use when they come buzzing!
Good Looking Plat Power Strip With USB and Outlets: This had a good looking ‘soft’ cord and has power outlets as well as USB outlets – great in a bedroom/guest room, as well as for extra charging in a kitchen or anywhere else.
‘Blank’ Baseball Hat: If you’re in the market for a basic, no logo baseball hat this is a great one that you can throw on with a jeans and tee-shirt on a bad hair day…or any other day. I have this one in navy and love it. It’s only $13, fits really well and comes in over 30 colors.
Wet Brush: This wet brush makes it easy to comb wet hair easily and prevents tugging (ie breaking/removing) hair as you do so. I misplaced mine for a few days and realized then, while using a comb, how great this brush is!
Maldon Sea Salt: Adding these super flavorful salt flakes to a meal really make a difference!
Mat for Under My Home Office Chair:
I’ve had a rolling office chair on a carpet for a while and finally noticed (or actually my husband did) that the rollers were destroying the rug! I was hesitant to get a plastic mat as I thought it’d be so ugly and ‘industrial’ looking but finally had to, otherwise I’d need to get a new rug! And I must say I’ve been so pleasantly surprised. I’m able to roll around so much more easily and you don’t even notice it when you come into the room as it’s thin and totally blends in. Wish I’d done this one years sooner!
Light Box
We use this more than you might think and it always brings a bit of unexpected joy when someone walks into our kitchen and sees “Happy Birthday <their name>” or “Welcome <their name>” or “Congrats <their name>”! We used it recently for one of our adult kid’s family birthday dinner and will pull it out for a grad event soon. A friend gave it to me for my birthday one year when we had dinner at her house – it was all set up wishing me Happy Birthday and then it was my gift. We have used it so much since! You can have it flash different colors or choose one color and there are lots of ways to personalize it. Unexpected joy is a good thing :).
