Fall clothing is back! In doing some research for other write-ups, a few dresses really caught our eye so we decided to do a quick highlight for you. They don’t fit into one bucket (i.e. casual, dinner, formal etc.) or price range, but these are dresses we think you’ll enjoy for the change of seasons.
Fall means different things depending on where you live. Typically, fall in California is much warmer than fall in New York. So, if it’s colder where you live don’t forget you can always layer a tissue weight long sleeve tee or turtleneck under a short-sleeve dress, or cover up with a cashmere poncho or a trench.
And, now for some Fab fall dresses!
1a. ME + EM Contrast Stitch Midi Dress:
We showcased this one in our Affordable Luxury Clothing Brands post and had to point it out again! The stitching, the length, the arm cutout, the waist detail – so much to love. And it’s machine washable and has pockets! Neckline can be open or has a hook and eye closure. Comes in black or red.
1b. La Ligne Noemi Dress:
But then we also have to include the La Ligne Noemi dress, which also comes in red and black and has a similar look/feel! Can’t go wrong with either of these beautiful, versatile options! The Noemi may be better choice for a shorter torso.
This top-rated Anthro dress comes in one solid, two full stripe, two ‘block stripe’, and one animal print option. And it’s available in standard, petite and plus. It’s a flattering shape for lots of figures and is a dress that can be worn to work, to lunch or to dinner if you switch up shoes/accessories. It also comes in a blouse version.
3. Denim Dresses
We love this shirt dress from ME + EM , this one from Frank & Eileen, or this one from J.Crew, depending on length of sleeves desired as well as budget.
4. Tuckernuck Jacqueline Maxi Dress
Wear this one belted for a loose, casual look or belted for a more pulled-together look. It’s what you’d grab when you aren’t sure what to wear…and you can accessorize it for any event.
5. JCrew Utility Dresses
Available in stretch chino and denim, these JCrew workwear-inspired dresses have longer sleeves and nice big patch pockets – a FabList fave!
6. Shirt Dresses
We think a shirt dress is a key wardrobe piece and a fab fall dress pick. This one from Vince with leather trim is a must-have for a luncheon or dinner or out. And this one from Reiss features a jazzy print and swing skirt, perfected with a pair of handy pockets.
7. Tuckernuck Tweed Jackie Dress
This dress is really really popular with women who are back in the office and need to look professional, as well as for anyone looking for a more classic dress that comes in 13 fun colors to jazz it up! Add jewelry and shoes or boots to the white or green…or any of the colors really… and decide how conservative or fun you want to take it.
