FabList: White Denim Review 2024

It’s getting to be that time again – to swap out the black pants for white jeans! Some of you may wear white jeans all year round (as a lot of European women do), while others pull them out of their off-season stack come spring.  Many times, the white isn’t quite so white anymore and you may be in need of a fresh pair. Or you might just need an updated style (try a wider leg this year, perhaps?).  We’ve got some ideas for you for spring 2024.

I (Jo) just spent an afternoon with Daniel, a stylist at Neiman Marcus in Chicago.  It wasn’t planned – he was the only employee after three floors of wandering who asked if I needed help!  He proceeded to give me a terrific update on what’s going on in the fashion world. I then asked him the perennial question “What style jean should I be wearing?”  The now-trending barrel cut?  Wide leg? Boot Cut? Skinny?  Daniel didn’t hesitate to reply and said “Whatever looks and feels good on you”. I loved that answer because so many times I’ve tried to wear what’s on trend and felt like an imposter. He did add that flares look good on most body types.

So, as we embrace the “wear what looks and feels good on you” mindset, here is a FabList of white jean options in a variety of shapes.  Also, keep in mind that if you have a pair of blue jeans you love and feel great in, chances are good that they are available in white… so that’s a great starting point in your ‘white jean discovery’ process!
