FabListers’ Favorite Gifts Given/Received This Holiday Season

Some of our favorite FabListers let us know what gifts really hit the mark this holiday season in their household!  Here are their top items given or received in their families, broken out by category.

Women’s Fashion:

• Bill got me this silk pj set (top and bottom) — and I LOVE it! They are soft and flowy and make me feel great.
• I got these PJs for our daughter (they featured her two cats + our dog) and they were a huge hit. They actually came surprisingly quickly and are pretty comfy!
• This Lake ‘Lounge Set’ feels like butter! Great for around the house or even to wear on a plane trip with sneakers!
• I gave my nieces Lake pajamas and they love them!
• My Danner low-top hiking books were great….not technically a Christmas present but great for our family Christmas trip.
• Petite Plume pajamas, the jersey knit. Awesome!
• I did love my Madhappy gifts!
• I gave these mittens to my daughter. They are made by Aristide. They are a luscious leather with rabbit fur inside. PETA people can choose other linings 🐰
• Anthropologie scarf. Eleanor says ski club merch is very popular for her age!
• My daughter loved a Staud bag she got and Half Days ski outfit. Apparently chocolate brown is the color to wear if you’re a 28-year-old girl.
• My most fave thing is a pajama set from Lake.

Men’s Fashion:

• I always love giving anything Patagonia as I love their mission in which they describe their only shareholder as “the earth”.  This year my gift to my husband was a Patagonia down sweater hoodie.
• This Vuori jacket was a hit with my husband.
• I gave these slippers to my husband and he loves them!
• My son wore this JCrew sweater every day after he got it – looks great (blue one).
• This was a favorite as well. My oldest daughter made an appt (they book out months) and bought a fleece for herself and her brother. You can only order 2 custom items per visit. He had this on his bucket list and was overjoyed.
• Stanley loved his brown Sambas from Nordstrom.
• Orvis flannel shirts for all the boys!
• I got my son, who lives in Scotland and has wet boots, this boot dryer: Dry Guy Travel Guy Dx
• I got my future son-in-law a new pair of swim trunks from Vilebrequin and he’s obsessed.

Beauty:

• Clean beauty products from Credo.
• My daughter gave me one of those Shark hair dryers that I really like.
• I love my new Augustina Bader eye cream.
• Personalized lipsticks from YSL.
• Everyone loved Dazzle Dry for nails!

Accessories/Jewelry:

• A pink pocket knife!
• My brothers and I lost my mom young, so we don’t have much from her side of the family.  I was just given 2 pearl necklaces  which were my grandmother’s, my mom’s mom, which I had made into bracelets and gave as Xmas presents to my nieces, my brother’s girls.
• Annie got a set of that Beis luggage.

Outdoor/Exercise

• I was given caps that go on my ski boots to keep my toes warm.
• Beanie with headlamp was a big hit in our household as well as heated knit gloves!
• Running snow shoes!
• LOVE my new Owala water bottle!
• New navy blue binoculars.
• My kids loved the Golf distance finder.
• Jay gave me this Cotopaxi backpack. I love it!
• I’m excited about this bike I got for desert – it’s ordered online and shipped to a local bike shop for assembly. They even got me the cute wooden box to put my stuff in.
• Sleeping bag from Western Mountaineering– good to 10 degrees 😜
• Fjallraven Wax is great to waterproof clothes.

Tech:

• This magnetic wireless phone charger/backup battery was a hit with our daughter.
• I loved my Oura ring for keeping track of my sleep patterns.
• Nieces gave this Aura picture frame to my mom. It’s a digital pic frame but has an app with a code so all of the grandkids can send pics to the frame from wherever they live. It’s a hit!

Home:

• The dog paintings from Etsy that FabList recommended were a huge hit for both my parent’s dog and my sister’s dog!
• My favorite gift was a Liberty puzzle. They are based in Boulder, CO. All these wooden jigsaw puzzles are works of art. Notice the puzzle piece shapes. A puzzler’s dream.
• These ‘sloping’ drinks glasses with skier designs are a bit hit and everyone comments on them!  Great to have out on a bar.
• We gave each other a lot of art this year! My husband gave me this of Carmel.
• I got rave reviews on the XO blankets I gave (also from FabList). Everyone carried them from room to room during the break.
• Love this ‘fish’ water pitcher! Looks great on the counter and has been great to use at parties.
• I got an album like this with photos of me with the friends who gave it to me- very cute idea!
• I got a set of 6 of these – they are technically handkerchiefs but the idea is to use them as cocktail napkins. So many great pattern and color choices.
• I love this customized mug of my friend group!
• I got a Ninja air fryer and it’s changed my life!
• Anna got these cute puzzles from her cousins.
• Simon Pearce Christmas trees are a great collectable.
• Go Fire fire starters are great to start fires under any conditions!
• Hatch alarm clock was a hit (not exciting, but loved).
• Mike liked a Pendleton blanket for the cabin.
• A Mahjong set, at least I think it will be my favorite!
• This portable charcuterie board was a big hit!
• Tommy loved this car cargo organizer from LLBean for baseballs and his gear in the back of his car.

Food:

• Giant tub of potato chips from Bonilla!
• I got Graza Olive Oil and Maldon Salt and I’ve used it every day since!
• Food from Goldbelly – bagels from Essa in NYC, Brooklyn Blackout Company cookies and brownies, and Snake River Farms steaks!

Experiences/Misc. 

• Bartending School in LA!
• Jim loved his cigars!
