The brand High Sport launched the ‘kick flare stretch pant’ flurry a couple years ago with the $860 pants that fashion editors were (and still are) swooning over. These are the ‘pull on and wear with anything pants’ that can be dressed up with boots or heels or dressed down with sneakers. Other brands quickly jumped on the ‘stretch pant’ bandwagon, and for consumers that means there are lots of great options from which to choose in this ‘ponte pants’ area.
Ponte refers to a material that is thick, double-knit, and has two-way stretch. Two way stretch is important because it molds to your body-shape and holds you in at the same time – genius! They are also wrinkle free so perfect for travel, and you know we love to travel! These pants often have a wider elastic waistband and a ‘seam’ down the front that gives them a polished, tailored ‘trousers’ look vs. a yoga pant or leggings look.
