Sweater Weather

Sweater weather is nearly upon us…we hope!

There are so many options out there — dressy, casual, cardigan, pullover, turtleneck, cashmere, wool, cropped, etc. — so we’ve pulled together a variety of options for you and broken them out by brand.

Jenni Kayne:

The queen of lux cashmere sweaters, Jenni Kayne is known for, amongst other things, her cashmere fisherman sweater, cashmere cocoon cardigan (which also comes in a cropped version) and her everyday sweater. We also love her Cooper Cardigan which comes in solids and a stripe (both shown above).

Quince:

As many of you know, we love Quince. They have recently upgraded their already terrific cashmere, like their $50 crewneck that comes in 14 colors and is a perfect weight to wear alone, over a shirt, or under a jacket or blazer. But they have so many more —like their zip-up hoodie, sweater vest, a henley, and a slightly cropped fisherman sweater.

The Row:

If you have the budget, The Row has amazing sweaters, and the Ophelia is a classic that will never go out of style!

Alex Mill:

They make a terrific chunky knit cardigan, the Nico, that is a bit heavier weight (you can see the stitching of it), and this year they released a new cashmere line that includes this perfectly oversized V-neck with a great shaped and sized neckline. And if you are in the market for a ladylike sweater jacket, this one is a great length, hitting at the hip, with great front pockets.

Toteme:

If you are in the market for the perfect cashmere turtleneck with small side slits, this one will last for many years to come. If you want something that stands out a bit more, their wool, cashmere, and cotton option with distinctive top-stitching may be for you.

Banana Republic:

Banana is doing a great job these days, and this includes their sweaters. This lightweight cardigan is great worn over a dress or with pants. We’ve mentioned this one before, but this relaxed, elbow length cashmere crew comes in lots of colors and is super versatile — wear it alone, or with a collared shirt or long sleeved tee underneath. Chrissie has it in navy and has worn it a ton this fall.

J.Crew:

J.Crew has lots of ‘lady jackets’ which can be worn with jeans and a tee, dressed up with trousers, or worn over a dress. It can be hard to find a great cardigan with a collar, and this one fits the bill! They have a ton of cashmere options, and unlike a lot of other retailers they have a good selection of bright colors, along with the basics.

La Ligne:

Tons of beautiful sweater at La Ligne.  The Marin is their most popular sweater — it comes in 13 cashmere colorways and also in a Marin Solid Light Version.

And they have a sweatshirt that ‘celebrates’ age and wisdom 🙂 — you can choose the sweatshirt and thread color to have the words stand out as much or little as you want (also available in cashmere)!

Anthropologie:
