We are obsessed with trench coats! Practical and polished, trench coats are great for everyday wear and are NOT only for rainy days. On our recent travels, these coats were worn everywhere, rain or shine, as the perfect topper. Rarely buttoned, left open to blow in the breeze, short or long, this is a must-have, hard-working, wardrobe power piece that will last you a lifetime. Throw on over jeans, workout wear, or an evening gown. Shop now, wear forever!
And now for our FabList:
We love this one from Toteme, water-resistant, double-breasted, and so chic. Roomy, long, double-belted cuffs, and extra buttons give this extra flair.
This one from Favorite Daughter is double-breasted and belted (although it’s en vogue to leave them open and unbelted these days) and has gun flaps, a storm flap, and epaulets for an extra traditional feel.
Alex Mill offers this oversized single-breasted one with a great kick pleat in the back. Super simple and just perfection!
We would be remiss if we didn’t include a Burberry trench – the granddaddy of them all. Made from breathable, water-resistant cotton gabardine, the undercollar and lining are patterned in the classic Burberry house check.
Hop on the suede trend with this trench from Anthropologie – an on-trend update with a double-breasted faux-suede silhouette.
Jo has a similar jacket to this shorter trench and wears it all the time. It’s a great travel coat and an easy way to elevate a casual look.
A more modern take on the classic style trench, this one from Dries Van Noten is fab. Workwear inspired with the big patch pockets, this is a perfect everyday throw-on.
Trench coats don’t have to be beige! This shorter one from & Other Stories in black is super chic. And Barbour has this new offering in black with its signature tartan plaid lining for the true British feel.
