Are you looking to add some new pieces to your fall wardrobe and wondering what’s trending this season? We are all about the classics and buying pieces that stand the test of time. That said, we also know it’s fun to throw in some new on-trend pieces (that are still classic) to pep up a look! We’ve done some research and have a short list of fall trends that deserve a mention.
Color: Brown
Brown, chocolate, dark chocolate, espresso – choose any of these as brown is THE color of the season. This is an easy one to incorporate into your wardrobe with a new pair of brown pants, or a brown sweater, or a brown loafer, or all of the above. Don’t be afraid to wear a ‘column of color’ and wear all your browns together!
Color: Wood. The IT pant for the season and for good reason! Mid-rise, relaxed fit, brushed stretch twill cotton. VERY flattering and comfy. Size down.
Color: Espresso. Inspired by ’70s styles, these casual-chic palazzo jeans are made from dyed stretch denim with full-length wide legs and patch pockets in front.
Jenni Kayne Cashmere Fisherman Sweater:
Color: Chocolate. The never-want-to-take-it-off, wear-everywhere sweater. The boxy body is perfect for layering and versatility—slightly tuck it into jeans, throw it over a dress, or size up for a look that’s borrowed from the boys.
Brown Loafer:
Loafers are everywhere! This one in brown and suede combines two of the biggest trends of fall 2024. Or this basic leather loafer is a winner!
Print: Leopard
Leopard print is a staple and this season it is everywhere! We always look to Ganni, who is a leader in leopard, and even has a Leopard category on its website. J. Crew also has a lot of fab leopard items in-stock right now.
Jeans:
Leopard doesn’t have to be ‘fancy’. Make it casual in denim with this cropped pant or this one here. Pair with Jenni Kaye sweater above!
Tops:
Add a leopard blouse or this cute leopard sweater set to a pair of chocolate pants (above) or a simple pair of black ponte pants, like these here. For more ponte pant options, see our FabList here.
Skirt:
Try a long denim skirt or a casual more flowy maxi. Pair with a simple black cashmere sweater.
Dress:
A leopard dress deserves a spot in your wardrobe and this one from J. Crew is super flattering with its wrapped waist and flowy skirt and we also love this one from Anthro.
Accessories:
A great way to incorporate leopard into your wardrobe in a subtle way is with accessories like this leopard shoe or this fab crossbody bag.
Material: Suede
Wow! Suede has taken the streets by storm and there are some great options out there.
Jacket:
Jo saw this suede jacket from Massimo Dutti (a Zara affiliate) and wanted to snatch it up! This moto jacket from Banana Republic is another fun option.
Purse:
The perfect way to add this trend to your wardrobe is with a great handbag like this suede tote or this shoulder baguette bag.
This mid-heel, ankle boot is the perfect height and pairs well with pants, skirts, or dresses.
